Stoneware pot, covered in a helmer slip, bisque fired. The pot has been decorated with liquid wax (Forbes brand), then brushed with underglaze to reveal that decoration. No actual glaze will be on or over this decoration. This pot will be fired in a gas-fueled salt kiln. The salt will react with the surface of the pot and form a glaze. check out www.carpenterpottery.com for images of finished pots.

  • Same comment as I made on your other video. I like what the design you did, but have no clue as to how you did it. What created the pattern on the bowl that you simply painted over? If you are simply showing off and don't want to share the how to of your work this video is perfect. If you would like to teach and share, this video is useless.

  • @salvia2112 did you read the description? it's wax resist....resisting the underglaze. chill out.

  • @salvia2112 wow, so angry... its a resist of some sort, when he glazes the pot the resist stops that part of the pot from being glazed. and so what if he is just showing off, you don't need to be so spiteful about everything, he posted this video for free.

  • That's very cool.
