http://www.dancemass.tv/laith Learn salsa moves by Salsa champion Laith Sami.
Laith is the British Salsa Competition 2003 champion, and is a prominent performer and teacher on the UK and International Salsa circuit. He also represented the UK at the 5th and 6th LA Salsa Congress in 2003 and 2004.
Laith creates shows with high-energy, fast-paced routines that entertain audiences and challenge their perception of the Salsa dance form.
Having started out teaching younger children hip-hop and gymnastics at a youth club in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1989, Laith went on to teach in various dance studios around the city and competed at national level in gymnastics, winning two gold medals and one silver medal in the Swedish Championships.
Laith became interested in salsa just before he moved to London in 1999 and since then, has come a very long way. With his background in hip-hop and street dance, Laith has a style that is funky and highly energized.
Laith has been teaching salsa for over 5 years and has performed in stage shows, television programmes, film, music videos, and commercials. These have taken him around the UK, Europe and as far as the Dominican Republic, showing his talent in salsa, hip hop, street dance, acrobatics, and cha cha cha.
His passion for salsa has led him to progress further than just the dance and into the music and movement. His style has been described by many as 'original' and 'cool'.
