check the ray barretto version. Sounds pretty great with a groove over it as well.

Thunderball is my favorite Bond movie because of the very sublime and exciting music that heightens the intensity of every scene .This album was among the top 50 best-selling records of 1966.

@madbicyclist Actually the yacht converted into a hydrofoil. A hovercraft can be seen in "Die Another Day" (2002).

@hasablad69 "Thunderball" is my number one favorite Bond flick because of the underwater fight scene, and the hovercraft fight scene, and the orchestra music that goes along with those scenes. Whoever doesn't like this here soundtrack album has no appreciation for real, and honest to god music.

Amen hasa, I'm 56, and the first 007 movie I ever saw was at the State Theater in Raleigh in 1965, Thunderball! I stayed through two shows and thought I had died and gone to heaven. Hence began a life long fascination. I hum the entire score every time I dive and I think we burned 91 bottles of air last summer. My kids grew up watching Sir Sean and now at 22 and 23 yoa think they're Commander Bond. What a great movie.

Heck yeah - LOVE minor 6ths. What a great piece!

@longfade: Don't forget the b5 7ths, augmented 5ths and minor 6ths!
I had read one comment from some person who critisized the "Thunderball"
soundtrack, saying that it was "boring". I can't imagine from which planet that person was - boring? Anyone who either
snorkels or scubadives will recognize that
the music in the underwater scenes reflects the exact motions that one does
in swimming underwater. I snorkel and
every time that I do, I find myself humming the various themes from this movie. Yay, Mahmohh!

It's all about the minor chord w/the major 7th/9th! Totally sweet.
