Demonstration of home made electronic Melodeon by Lee O'Donnell. See http://www.bassmaker.co.uk for description of how this instrument was made. This sound clip features a tune played back through a set of sound samples from an 8-bit computer game via Reason.

  • Is this an original piece of music? If it's not, what is it from? Either way I would also love to hear some more and would love to see a video of how your instrument works. I saw the site with the pictures, but it is always more interesting for the creator to show it off.

  • The melody is Mr. Moore's Hornpipe, a traditional english hornpipe.

    The Melodeon player Brian Peters plays it in a video, search for "Mr. moore's hornpipe", first result.
