METAL DUST by PROTOVISION is a shoot'em up game for the Commodore 64, enhanced with the turbo card "SuperCPU" by Creative Micro Designs (CMD). While playing, you will hear an exclusive soundtrack by the German electro band WELLE: ERDBALL. The game was released in Summer 2005.
WELLE: ERDBALL released their new album CHAOS TOTAL on 1st September this year. The limited edition includes a Bonus DVD, e.g. with a METAL DUST video clip by WELLE: ERDBALL. The limited edition is already sold out in many places. The METAL DUST video clip can now be viewed here.
Furthermore, the longplayer contains the song "STERNENKIND", which is the music from the fourth level of METAL DUST with additional lyrics.

I still own 4 fully functioning C64's mate, and this is now in 2008. Shock, horror, gasp. There's many many people out there that still do aswell, they're called retro gamers these days, the old stuff is ace you see and people still love it. I agree with you though on this game, but would say the game looks stunning not just great. It would be worth tracking down a super CPU C64 on ebay or something just to play this game...brilliant stuff.

Darum kommen meine eltern in das billigste verfügbare Altersheim... erst arbeite ich fast zwei Jahr als Zeitungsausträger und Supermarktaushilfe um mir den Commodore zu kaufen, dann verbieten mir meine Eltern das wirklich hart verdiente Geld für das Gerät auszugeben und invesitieren mein Geld in einen PC, den man Vater in beschlag nimmt. Naja, viel spass bei Wasser und Brot.

Es spricht doch wirklich nichts dagegen.

Ich weiß nicht, ob Du die neue Hardware wie U1541 und MMC64 kennst, aber es lohnt sich. Der C64 macht auch Heute noch süchtig.

Zum Glück ist die Szene noch nicht ganz tot und hoffentlich/vermutlich wird die Szene auch niemals sterben.

Es gibt ein großes Forum, schau doch mal vorbei. Dort wird man geholfen, versprochen. Forum64

i totally agree awesome game but who exactly has super cpu c64...not very many people thats for sure...ive looked on ebay and found nothing just normal c64 computers..its now 2009 iand i dont think ile ever find super cpu c64 maybe 20 yr ago lol

big fans of these katakis type games try a game called boom has an alternative 14 stagers and excellent katakis clone:))) and yes i would love to play this awesome game has well:)))))
