its obviously a popularity contest now a days, Yao started in the all-star game as a rookie...and did anyone notice the bottom line ticker? Yi JianLian was 3rd in votes after lebron and keven garnett...how does that even make sense?

Gary Payton was a really good player. No disrespecting his efforts and arguments but the is completely retarded. John Stockton overtook him 'cause he was always looked at as an underdog. Stockton did his beest to involve his team and did everything to win. He had the best courtvision ever portrayed by a player and that came with pratice. He never had the atlitiscism that Payton had and never could he put up points the Payton did. But he was always playing better because he fought like a mad man.

@dalastdon1432 He wasn't disputing that. He was talking about the now, and in his opinion Duncan was no longer that player. I don't know about this year, in question, but Duncan got in over Lamarcus Aldridge, last year, and that was horrible.

I see GP's point. Sometimes players get in for all star starter cause their teams are winning It happened with Bosh when he was in toronto and KG got all star starter nod in boston. Like bosh was putting up better numbers but KG was on boston and his individual #'s were lower. GP fails to realize though that guys like Jefferson or bosh are on worse teams which inflates their numbers to an extent which is why you take TD or KG. If TD is on a crappier team then he can put up those numbers too.
