the movie may focus entirely on the girl gender but i assure you, the camp itself doesn't. there really isn't a "girls are better than boys" message there. just a "girls and boys are equal, here's a safe space to make music" message. there's nothing wrong with having a music camp for girls just like there's nothing wrong with having girl scouts. if someone were to make a music camp for boys it would be just as acceptable if sexism and racism were as seriously discouraged as they are at RC4G.

asking how old your daughter is? r rated music from bikini kill is for adults, I agree but this is a good .. no! GREAT idea. barbies and make up aren't the things these kids need in they're child hood.

the kid most likely meant hilary duff wants to sing about love and high school. she wants to sing about all kinds of amazing things like ponys and hick ups!

Yeah, but what if they hate rock music-by nature, not by sexist media-and still have self-esteem issues?

What if they're sensitive to loud noises (eg girls with AUT)?

WHAT IF THE CAMP ENCOURAGES YOUNG GIRLS TO BUY ALBUMS OF FEMALE ROCK SINGERS W/ PA STICKERS ON THEM??!!

I just love it when people bitch about school buses degrading children w/ inappropriate Top40 music then talking about how wonderful this camp is, when it could be encouraging young girls to buy bad CDs.
