  • @alrdygrownup THANK you. I have EDS too and I am a gymnast too :) You sound a LOT like my cousin but your screenname isnt the same hahahah

  • Kudos of course to the performers. BUT as a sufferer of EDS-Hypermobility Type and medical student- HOW DARE YOU! The Beighton Test is not something we do "for fun" and we certainly aren't "lucky" to be able to contort to these extremes. I was a professional dancer, trained gymnast and am blessed to still be able to model/act despite my inability to enjoy my sports as I did. Shameful NOT for the performers but for the doctors. I can do all of this and yeap it's cool. But constant pain isn't...

  • :O I can do all of them..... But my back is my weak point

  • those are not the points that show you if you are flexible in your spine! if you are, you have to bend your spine!!! not your knees, fingers or anything!! i can bend my fingers but not my spine, i have to warm up! wtf are that woman saying???

  • This test is nonsens. I have 1 point in it and I'm still a contortionist

  • Un-be-lievable. They show you the cool parts of hyper mobility, and go so far as to show you the (albeit incomplete) Beighton, but do not show or say anything about connective tissue disorders that can cause this and can be life threatening. If you have at least a 4 on this test, you should visit ednf.org, and consult a geneticist if you find that you display more than just hypermobility. Irresponsible. Some doctors they are.

  • I can do some stuff like that ^_^

  • I would question how many contorionist actually end up having Ehler's Danlos syndrome. Espically since all of the 'self test' to see if you could be one are part of the Ehler's Danlos flexibility test.
