hi i can't see the library folder under my username? I have a macbook pro 2011 13" i7 4GB with OSX lion 10.7.2. I'm using Aperture 3 and it's very slow and make everything slow on my laptop. Do you think it will helps. My MBP is just 3 days old :) thanks you

TIP: all the folders on you desktop are partly slowing your Mac down :( because when you boot up you're computer you're Mac has to render all of the folders out. So it will take longer to start up your computer. :(

i need help please! it doesn't say macintosh hd in finder, I'm trying to empty my iMovie cache bc all my videos only play the audio, it happened before and apple told me to empty cache and it fixed it, please help

Does this flush the DNS cache too? I seem to be having some issues doing that. The terminal doesn't work, at least it seems. Like there's no notification or anything, nor do I know how to check if the DNS really god cleared. Can you help me?

My question might be dumb but I have an external HD if I delete Cache will the external HD replace the deleted Cache?

@goingawaysomeday The only stupid question is one I can't answer :) If you have an external HD it will not replace your cache. Although, if that is being used as a Time Machine backup and you restore your full system after a failure it will also restore the cache folders. Keep in mind that the folders will rebuild themselves as soo as you delete them so it's good practice to delete them about twice a month.
