He's definitely slow off the snap in this video, but it really doesn't even look like a slow first step.. it's more of a slow start altogether if that makes sense. If you watch closely, it looks like he's watching the man across from him instead of watching the ball. Take a look at the Nebraska video.. it seems as if OSU's new coaching staff corrected the issue..

Welcome to the World Champion Baltimore Ravens! Love his motor, but I tend to agree with several of the comments, he is very slow off the snap. They will work on him with this big time in the league, if not his ass will be 10 yds down the field on his back.

I think he just wants too make a play so badly, which is great! But sometimes, it seems he rushes himself by not allowing the play to develop and wants to go for the home run play which can end up being an all or nothing result. But He's a work horse and will get better and find a spot on an NFL roster, especially with the right coaching staff.

He did look slow off the snap in this video. I watched the video of him against Nebraska and he seemed much quicker. Solid pass rush moves. Should be a pretty good NFL player.
