The Common Swift is a small migratory bird. So this composition of mine is my soul jazz blues bird tribute. The organ is a Clavia Nord C1 - a Hammond B-3 clonewheel organ.

Nord C1 Registrations and Settings:
Upper 88 8000 000. Chorus C2. Percussion On, Soft, Fast, Third.
Lower 80 8000 000. Chorus On.
Bass lower manual 80.
Leslie simulator Stop position.
Equalizer Treble -5dB, Mid -5dB, Bass 0dB.
Overdrive/Drive Off.
Reverb Hall, Soft, 40%.
Tonewheel mode Vintage 2 (high level of tonewheel crosstalk and cable leakage artefacts).

The sound is recorded line out from the organ. No additional external effects, external amplifiers or speakers are used.

  • Hi obirube

Just a little more :-) Thanks!

Trying to tickle those ivories now and then, because, as the saying goes:

'A jazz organ a day, keeps the doctor away'

    Keep swinging,

    Rounder

  • @MrSzymkra

Every video he's ever made IS a tutorial, because you can see very clearly 100% of what he plays.

  • @rounder2u Ok, thanks.

  • Hi Mr Szymkra

    Thanks!

I will not make a tutorial, but if you have any questions about what notes I'm playing at a certain moment, or the thinking behind a certain riff/phrase, just write a comment or a message, and I will try to answer.

In that case also, please, write the exact timestamp, e.g. 3:09-3:10. That example is a fast one note tremolo by alternating the middle finger and the thumb, starting with the middle finger. I call them machine gun tremolo :-)

    Keep swinging,

    Rounder
