When I bought my first acoustic guitar I bought a $500 Martin . I started playing as an adult so I figured I want something decent but not incredibley expensive. Because I was a novice I did not know about the need for a set up. With all the bullshit some of the big stores try to sell new and novice players I don't understand why they never tried to sell me or inform me of the need for a set up. I now realize how important they are.The right action is crucial especially for a new player.
