The late Professor Frank Porto Jr. was one of America's finest music teachers. He was my accordion teacher for approximately 20 years. Here he invited me to perform on a cable TV show he was hosting. Although I had not played the accordion for almost 4 years prior to this performance I managed to revive this Bach piece with short notice. I currently work as Director of Corporate Training for http://www.basementsystems.com I hope you enjoy it. Thanks.

  • VERY fine playing! So clean and articulate! It must be very difficult to split the third part between the right and left hands as you do. Love how the bassetti takes what would normally be the part for the pedals! A WONDERFUL performance, sir!!

  • Thanks.

  • Thanks, for your comment. I am going to release a video soon of Mendelssohn's Prelude Op. 35 in b minor. This is by far the most difficult piece I have ever played. The left hand is more challenging then the right hand. It sounds great on the accordion.

  • Awesome! I have no idea how you streamline the phrasing in your left hand, but I want to learn how =P

  • Интересный инструмент. Хочется спросить "А почему сразу не баян?".

  • Hello, Michael!

Please, can you tell in more details about left side of this accordion. It's a bit strange to see free bass system separated, because usually converter accordions have a switch turning off/on free bass. I just haven't ever seen the solution like your accordion has. Was this left-side system installed by default or you changed it yourself&

And what is the name of your accordion? (I just can't see from here :) )

    Thanks and best wishes,

    Andrew.

  • Brilliant... perhaps you should quit your day job? :-) But whatever you do, keep playing!

  • Brilliant! Would it be a natural progression to play the bayan, or is it a totally different technique on the right hand?

  • Impressing!

  • the fugue is played beautifully

  • Wonderful!
