They come with a build in compass so you can find the knife. It's between the ladder and the flamethrower on the other side of the chessboard and the paper basket.
As soon as you get to pop the knife out, you forgat why you needed it for. This is where the siren and the voicerecorder come in. Also, there's a handy tool attached next to the sledgehammer, I think it's a 68-VW Van.
In the Van, there's a spare Swiss knife. There you are.
