  • The red shirt farmers are upset because they democratically elected Thaksin to be Prime Minister twice. The military removed Thaksin in a coup in 2006.

    .

Thaksin didn't pay his taxes. A lot of taxes. On the other hand the military in Thailand remove every Prime Minister in a coup. Why?

    .

The yellow shirts proposed and end to democracy so that the poor people couldn't vote for their favourite person.

    .

Why is a democratically elected PM always forced out by the army? Every time.

    .

    Why? Who?

  • Thai army not killed Thai people but taksin and redshirt was kill thai army money can buy anything or can buy cabel tv for promote taksin and red shirt the leader of redshirt are very rich taksin tranfered money for those who are supported redshirt or anti goverment group some red shirt have gun and shoot thai military very sad some Thai people are believe lying story from the leader of red shirt

  • Are you not aware of the fact that you are looking at a Police State not in use for the keeping of the peace, but rather maintaining the tyranny of an elective system that has become corrupt?

  • @midevalcheese yeah..people's power my friend..no banker can defeat that.

  • so sad... i hope and pray peace and resolution will come soon! :(

  • @HoneyChops I don't see it as the "dirty job". The best way to settle this is a general election. Or of course, if the government is sure they don't stand a chance, a bloodbath will surely quiet those "naive and easily convince" people.

  • @HoneyChops I think it is pure arrogant to think farmers know nothing better. The Yellow broke the golden rule of democratic system, bringing down a government with more popular votes. Regardless of corruption charges, Thai farmers are long being discriminated by the bourgeoisie and denied the proper recognition of their political power.

    Next stop, India.

  • @midevalcheese right!
