cucumbers don't go with tomato's, bad companions there so it's wrong

you can use flour as a pesticide .put it on in the evening and it gets wet and the bugs eat the flour and thats it no more bugs great safe pesticide

does pressure treated lumber not bleed cancer causing chemicals in the food we consume? i only use cedar and untreated spruce/ pine, i dont believe studies are 100% correct takes to long to prove, better safe than sorry i guess

awesome life style may i suggest adding some grape vines around and over your shower , i have been building above ground self watering vegetable boxes and there is no weeding , worms , bugs etc totally organic , Happy Gardening :)

Regarding the beds being pressure treated lumber. It used to be treated with a product that contained traces of arsenic. The code was CCA.
New products no longer contain that. They use Alkaline cooper quaternary (ACQ). After research including speaking with colleagues at Texas A&M this is what we used.
They found it to be safe and other studies I researched found the same. Not all pressure treated lumber is the same. Look for lumber treated with ACQ and avoid those treated with CCA.
