@keeco300 The song details a prison break where one of the escapees comes home for dinner. This murder/rape story is fictional, not autobiographical. Lead singer Gord Downie was approached several times while touring in Europe by audience members expressing sympathy.

@menace613902 : im not trying to be a jerk but that story Sandy told me himself. He was shuffled around from joint to joint.
