@centretotheleft 詠春 teaches you personal protection, by being more agressive (and yet still relaxed and controlled) than the aggresor. You want to safely escape any dangerous situation by either knocking him out or by knocking him back providing an escape route. So you'll need to punch proper (not a downwards hammering chopping motion) and if something gets in the way (block) you take it out of the way (Chi sau) and punch him nonetheless. All this grabbing is a waste of time and dangerous.

@MCBosmans wow :D maybe you should show him how to do this "properly" maybe make some mony from private lessone.... or even show him for free.....
