"Matricks" Bf2 Matrix

A long time ago in the BF2 engine, you were once able to fire any weapon in mid air. Doing two things at once obviously proved too complicated for noobs so they complained to EA and EA responded by taking all firing while in the air out of the game.
This included no more knife jumping.
This is a rare video showcasing the good old days of BF2 before EA to the fun out of the gameplay.

oh that wasn't actually filmed in game as such, we mucked around first then downloaded the bf2 recorder file of what we did then I filmed inside the bf2 recorder which was very limited mind you

Seriously, they should make a BF3 with an in depth, comprehensive bullet time mode.

noobs in fact did bring an end to bf2 and its fun gameplay. EA was more worried about how some players couldnt compensate for their lack of skill rather than what made the game unique, ended professional competition as well.

yeah well if you ever played bf2 1.0 pre patching it actually had better hit registration than 2142. through patching out the engine like forcing player to not be able to fire weapons in mid air caused a lot more bugs.

i hate the knifing in BF2 compared to BF2142, in BF2 the first hit never kills for me damnit
