  • Thank you this post, please post a new version of this old song.

  • I love these old Ernest Stoneman recordings thanks for posting.

  • man, that hiss, crackle and pop paired with such a lovely tune is truly wonderful. pity this music ain't as big today as it was decades ago. with the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it feels good to sit down and listen to such simple music which stirs more inside of me than any modern music today.

    thanks for posting!

  • James calls God's law a "law of liberty," or freedom, when he says that "he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does" (James 1:25). True freedom cannot come apart from, but must come from harmony with, God's commandments. As Christ asks in Luke 6:46, "why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?"

  • Wow! There is such a sweet and pure spirit coming from this pure mountain music by Ernest "Pop" Stoneman! He was a true gentleman and a genius. But, he sang the old church songs that we love so well, and so much is missing in our churches today.

I cry when I hear Pop Stoneman on these old gospel recordings.
