  • scary stuff, i live in new jersey, about 45 miles from the city, and i turned on the tv and all i heard was screaming..then i saw the steam..it was pretty cool though, but its s ad that there was a death and some injuries.

  • At last report, there was one death due to a heart attack, and over 20 people injured. Businesses in the area lost and/or are still losing a fortune, which probably means that some people will either lose some pay, lose their jobs, or lose their businesses.

  • U see the Unleashed video? I saved it.

  • No, I haven't seen it yet. Please paste the link into a comment. Thanks!

  • You must have a good video camera, or a very steady hand.

  • Neither of the above, believe it or not--I shot this using the video function on my "still" camera. Thanks for the compliment.

  • i was on East 42nd street when it happened and im from Liverpool, UK scary shit to see when your on holiday.

  • I respect your opinion but i dont agree myself. The bridge accident was also an act of terrorism, as was the oil depot fire in new york and the one i england... I dont think so. Other accidents happend.

  • It has happened before. It wasn't terrorist related, the pipe is encased in either asphalt or cement, that's why the blast went up, and not down. If this line had burst somewhere else, like into a below grade passageway, it could have really hurt or killed a lot of people unable to escape from the heat and pressure. Cast iron pipes are the older pipes in the steam system, and are far more brittle than the newer steel pipes.

  • vote obama

  • cool how old are you ?man this isnt a joke respect them relax this serious thing people died and you seat here saying is cool may god forgive you son I will prey for you

  • i strongly suspect we are being lied to. the pipe was inspected 7 hours before it "exploded". the tow truck in the crater hole is also odd. wouldn't the steam gyser have blown it out of the hole? and where is the UNEDITED footage of the explosion itself? think about it. this was a psyop. the neocons want to get us thinking about terrorism and 911 - they want to prepare us for the next big attack.

  • Vote Obama.

    Jose Reyes for Mayor.
