'England my England' is a wonderful film about Henry Purcell and contrasts the times in which he lived with the modern age of Quislings and mercenaries who have sold out our beloved land for 30 pieces of silver.
We can also date the rising tide of English Nationalism from that of this film which was brought out to commemorate the third centenary of his death in 1695 on St Cecilia's Day.
I wonder what design and sound Purcell's divine music would provide for the death of England as we observe it today. What was once an empire that the sun never set upon would require a dirge that would freeze the five Rivers of Hades. Lyrics would needs be penned by the U.K.'s Casssandra - Brigadier Gen. Enoch Powell, M.P. Purcell's music will, thankfully, be heard throught the ages, and will testify to the genius that was once Great Britain. God Save Us.
@seaxwielder He's a great musician/songwriter, and intensely evocative of the land in which he lived, indeed.
