this is my beloved H9 P-51 PTS with some custom modifications including Robart mechanical retracts, and an OS 70 4 stroke. (it has also been rebuilt 5 times due to high speed encounters with trees and dirt.)

  • what model number is the robat retracts.?

  • @FlyCrashBuild not sure of the number, but they are the 85 degree retracts for 60 size planes (platic/fiber housing) . they have held up well over the yrs.

  • Nice job! I'm considering putting either a Saito 65 or 72 on my PTS - where did you get the cowling that isn't cut for the OS .46? Does H9 sell them? I have the newer, red-tail version, the fuse appears to be the same as yours, just different trim scheme.

  • @bonsairick I just orderd a replacement cowl from H9 for $18, I did have to add a 1/2 inch balso strip to the front of the firewall to move the cowl forward a bit. the OS 70 is just a bit longer than the .46 ax. overall not a problem. sure sounds good. good luck. Roger

  • can you make a video on how to install them please, it would make my plane alot more enjoyable to fly if it had retracts

  • @rcjunkie94 already did, just watch my other video on the subject "hanger 9 p-51 modifications- details" good luck and have fun!
