  • I'm loving this Paul Washer guy. He preaches the Truth. Let God use you, brother!

  • @NexusCapital I'm sorry, but I wouldn't say a 14 year old girl exploring what is called relationship with a boy today a small matter. 14 is still so very young, they don't even understand themselves yet, let alone a boy. There is no rush, where is the prudence?

  • a bit of inconsistency here: Firstly, he says ' don't marry too young', because we are in the modern world (even though most christians married young in times past.) Secondly, make sure the woman does not make the first move because we aren't into the modern world.

The first thing you need to do when interpreting scripture is figure out what is culturally relative and what goes beyond the culturally relative and implies a moral principle that is relevant for all time and cultures.

  • @NathansWatchinYou I can respect your viewpoint for sure, I just disagree. My grandfather married my grandma when she was 15 with a foundation built on Christ... it lasted until she died 64 years later. So, if my daughter or son wishes to be in a relationship with someone I see no harm in it. Women in biblical times got married and had successful relationships at young ages and I dont think I will let "todays" world affect that. But I can understand your viewpoint and respect it. God Bless

  • Lol all the women on here are so mad that they've been told they can't chase boys anymore. The culture has changed quite a bit.

  • Hey Paul... girls use to get married at 14 and people were cool with it. I personally think a girl having a boyfriend at 14 and exploring relationship dynamics is okay. But as Romans 14 says... we arent to dispute small matters for each should be fully convinced over such things. I see you are.

  • @shine777 I know I just double commented but every since I was young I was uber-feminist lol. I just wanted to add that I am kinda sorta not officially dating a Christian guy who is pretty traditional, and the way he treats me..I thought I was gonna feel oppressed but I don't through the traditional Biblical system.. I know the chances of me marrying him are slim as I'm a 17 year old girl, but hey, they say dating is like "practice marriage" Sorry 4 double post, just wanted to get that out

  • @shine777 Thank you, that was a fair answer :) I guess(and I really don't mean this as bragging) my thing is I love journalism and ever since elementary school and people say I am gifted in it but to give this comment a more humble balance I never really learned how to cook or anything..my mom's taught me a few things, but I guess I can figure it out myself..my parents are making me go to college(not implying you're against educated women) and I don't want to waste my time/our money..

  • @cooljen94 not at all... but I would suggest primarily... is journalism an excuse to avoid the high calling of being a wife and mom? for many in the church... they trade in lesser joys (career, jobs, and yes, even other supposed callings like being a missionary) for the joy-filled high calling of being a spouse and parent... which could be the greatest mission calling of all for some... i would say, love Jesus supremely and let Him call you to whatever but be a woman before a career-woman...

  • As empowering as this sermon is,what about women using their spiritual gifts outside of the home(say she is talented in writing or music or engineering or I don't know and it's really obvious lol) I do give him props for taking a concept I usually find sexist and making it empowering..lol don't codemn me,I'm young and confused, but say I am a young Christian woman who dreams of becoming a journalist..does that make me "want to become a man?"

  • @ZzLothzZ Yeah, I was kinda thinking you were possibly being a bit 'sarky,' but I went with 'sincere' instead. lol It's cool.
