A fun and exciting hobby. I've been metal detecting for 13 years and found it to be of the most relaxing and gratifying hobbies I have. I've recovered literally tens of thousands of coins, jewelry, relics, etc. and herein are only a few that I have photos of. Also, this video show a few of the treasure hunts and competitions I've been to in Indiana,Ohio, and WV. during the time I belonged to the Silver Seekers Metal Detecting Club.

  • Wow..my Father in law loves metal detecting..he takes his stuff with him to the shore and while we swam,we'll see his never ending sense of adventure and mystery with this hobby as he scans along the sandy shore in between swimming sessions!

  • I think treasure hunting strikes a chord with all of us. I really enjoy hunting in and around water and that's one of the best places to find valuable rings. Thanks for the comment allan!

  • Fantastic video, well done.

Although i live in England i use an American made Troy Shadow X3 and have had the best year ever metal detecting.

Good luck to all you guys on the other side of the Atlantic.

  • Thanks Graeme, I appreciate you watching. I met Troy around 10 years ago just when he first began making the Troy shadow detectors, and he is a wonderful person who is passionate about his detectors. They have become very popular here in the US and do very well in all types of soils.I like the way you donated your last finds, so that many people can be educated and appreciate the history of places no longer standing.Good luck and I hope to see many more interesting finds from you. Sandy

  • I liked the way you could put block commentary in the middle of the screen. I think one of the photos said ME (referring to you, Sandy) but it was of Dad. I especially liked the Civil War items as well as the cross you found.

  • The last frame was me in the yellow shirt and tan shorts, but the photo was panning and the bubble was close to someone in a white shirt. Dad? I'm not sure.

  • Thankyou Auntie Linda! It sounds like you have what it takes to be a good treasure hunter. Patience and hope. It's fun to get out, even if you don't find much though. Have a wonderful day!

  • What a neat video. You sure have found a lot. I have a detector and this make me want to get back into using it again. I haven't really ever found anything yet, but there's always tomorrow. Thanks.
