In this video you'll find every goal the USA have ever scored in the FIFA world cup that we have footage of. 1990 was the first trip back to the world's biggest stage for 40 years and the first goal of the 'Modern Era' was scored by Paul Caliguiri. So far, 20 goals have been scored thoughout the 22 matches of these six world cups. Amoung them, five from record holder Landon Donovan, three from Brian McBride and three own goals.

America's 'Modern Era' World Cup scorers: Paul Caligiuri, Bruce Murray, Eric Wynalda, Ernie Stewart, Brian McBride (3), John O'Brien, Clint Mathis, Landon Donovan (5), Clint Dempsey (2) and Michael Bradley. Not included in this video are America's goals from the 1930, 1934 and 1950 World Cup, where footage is likely non-existant; scorers in those cups: Bart McGhee, Bert Patenaude, Jim Brown, Aldo Donelli, Gino Pariani, Joe Geatjens, Frank Wallace, Joe Maca. Also not included in this video, several USA goals over the years that were disallowed; one each for Alexi Lalas, Landon Donovan, DaMarcus Beasley, Maurice Edu and Clint Dempsey.

This is an unsanctioned fan made video featuring footage of the United States Men's National Team (ussoccer.com) at the FIFA World Cup (fifa.com), the song is 'Over There' by The Vandon Arms (thevandonarms.com).

  • Good stuff, anyway you can do it again with the commentary as opposed to music?

  • @KBA4life I actually would have preferred to do it with commentary, I do have the goals since 1998 with british commentary but not the ones from the early ninties. i would prefer to do american commentary anyways since they are american goals. i do have VHS tapes of american coverage of the US games with goals but no way to upload them right now. perhaps someday down the line i'll do that

  • @00Kavon Well to be honest the American commentary was quite dull up until 2006. The British commentators know how to commentate soccer and make it exciting.

  • @HitmanEF i agree, there have been some poor commentators (in particular 2006), but since i'm an american and this is a video of american goals it makes sense to use them, this way the viewer experiences what it was like as an american watching these goals, the local commentators are more bias and excited than if it was someone commentating another nation's goal.

also I don't have british commentating of the goals of 90 & 94 and it would bug me to make an incomplete video

  • what song is this?

  • @Scootypufff 'Over There' by The Vandon Arms. the chorus is based on a WW1 era patriotic song which has also been used as an occasional chant of USMNT supporters

  • @roguedemon31 it was against poland

  • @00Kavon Hey, when did Landon have a disallowed goal?

  • Thanks for putting this together! Only way to improve this would be to have the original audio and also to allow a little more time per clip so we can see the celebration footage.

  • When did Landon have a disallowed goal? just curious
