how do we know there wasn't other angles or other beings that God could express his love to ? His character and essence of being love may have been developed over billions of years earlier in his eternity.. and now that he has had billions of years to practice love he has become love .. ? although i do agree with Asscherick .. but just a question
Dear gisped & bereanone... I guess you did not follow the line of reasoning that David was using; If GOD is love, then how can He be that, if there is only one GOD 'in the beginning'??
I have seen MANY videos on this strange idea that Jesus is the physical Son of GOD, and that the Holy Spirit is not a Person. Very unbiblical. Proof-text proves NOTHING. ... ... Blessings to you both!

David claims that scripture "clearly depicts God as a unity of three co-eternal persons". From my Strong's concordance I find no reference whatsoever to co-eternal person or co-eternal ANYTHING. Were David to rely on scripture alone, he would read, John 17:3 "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the ONLY true God, AND Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." Where David to stick with scripture alone, he would find the list stops at two. Human logic only here folks.

If Jesus wasn't the literal Son of God, why is He called a Son? Is God a God of confusion?
