  • Very nice vid. I have a horse that likes to walk in front of me and just ends up cutting me off.... Do you have any tips that might work??

  • @JM32Special Yeah, don't let him! LOL! Every time he gets ahead of you, make him back up two or three steps, then start again.... this usually works. Every so often, stop, and see if he stops with you. He should. That means he is tuned into where you are and what you are doing.

  • i have watched all the episodes leading up this one so far, and i am very impressed! im new to roundpen training and so far your approach to this is very helpful to me! keep up the good work! cant wait to watch the rest! and i agree with the other person that you deserve your own actual show!

  • @cwgrlsdntcry Thank you!

  • You deserve an actual show on TV! This is incredible to watch, and it's so nice to see a trainer that isn't harsh and uses constant rewards. You're an inspiration :)

  • @mrsrunner678 : Thanks!! I looked into RFTV but you have to pay your own way to have a show! Very expensive, unless someone like Discovery channel or similar 'picks you up." Stay safe out there! ~Aeron

  • I have watched all the videos and love them all. I have a draft cross that is a pain while on him, but a total sweetheart on the ground. I tried pulling his head gently to his side on the ground, but every time I do he backs up. He is 10yrs and I was in college for two and trying to gain respect on the ground before riding again.

  • @JM32Special A method I used to use was a training rope for halter. It takes the place of a show chain that goes under their chin through the halter. when the horses would get ahead of me or they would be in "my space" I would give a little tug to get their attention and show them where I wanted them. A small tug down and back if they were ahead of me and a kind of tug/fling to the outside if they were walking to closely to me. I like my toes, they dont need to step on them. LOL

  • Every single time I watch your video's, I giggle out loud at Napolean's gusto as he trots up to you (in the intro to your video's).

  • @AeronRiding Thank you! Ill try that.
