My new Cockatiel Oliver and my Quaker Parrot Abby

I've got my new cockatiel for a week now. He's 10 weeks old and very cute and Quaker Parrot 6 months old, she's very talkative.I used to have a few cockatiel before and know how to take care of my pets. They living in two different cage at the moment even tho Abby welcome her new friend with open arms . So if you have any questions regards to wing clipping and diets ect...let me know...

@mjssnk depends on your lifestyle and your preference actually, they both great . you can do some research on both and decide. But you you have any specific questions, feel free to ask. everyone needs to start somewhere but doesn't matter which kind of birds, you should always do alot of research on which ever one you decide to adopt.

@johnevon1 oh they are doing great thanks for asking. I recently bought a new baby cockatiel that I'm hand feeding at the moment and will post videos of the little one soon....

I'd be somewhat careful with those two I had a quark bite my cockatiel's beak vary hard creating a scar in his beak that never fully healed. Quakers are extremely territorial birds. They are also possessive and aggressive when around there owners and other birds. So they don't like to share. My tiel lived but the wound had to be taken care of over several weeks. The damage nearly ripped off his lower beak they have a habit of invading the other birds cage as well.

@Crixe oh yes thanks for the concern.. oliver and abby aren't my first experience with birds. So i'm totally aware of the situation. Abby is a little abit older than oliver, so she wants to what is that yellowhead. if you know what i mean, but most of the time she wants to preen him and can be abit rough but oliver lets her do that sometimes but she knows the limitation and i'm always looking out for oliver since he's been young and all.

@cindy600 That's good my Quaker was actually younger then my Tiel and developed some vary possessive and territorial traits with regards to any other bird. Hopefully they get along.
