Tivvy at Palladium studios 1981

Dundee band Tivvy, who disbanded in summer 1978, got back together again in 1981 to record a couple of original songs.
This was recorded in palladium studios in Edinburgh and the photographs were taken by Bruce Money, hence the fact he only appears in one photo.
The songs were:-

If they disbanded in summer 1978, did they get back together again in 1981 as 'Press Gang?

The press gang name was first used in mid 77 maybe and then again at some point after the performance on opp knox. To be truthful, after all this time, the only evidence we have of being press gang at the kinema in 1978 was that neil boyd became a member of our road crew at some point after the opknox performance and I do recall neil being on the mixing desk in the kinema. We cant get neil to verify this as he passed away in 2008.

Yep, I saw that on the kinemagigz site too so I presume it was us - unless there was another band called press gang going about at the same time? Probably not.

Haha! Press gang wasnt a great name either and we toyed with the idea of wearing hooped black & white tee shirts & bell bottom breeks, but it all fell apart trying to make the tarry pigtails look cool!

No, we only got together to do the recording of two original songs in palladium studios as 'unfinished business' as it were. The fact that we had never done any original material was the motivating factor in this. We were not a working band at that time and we were all working with other bands.
