a way to find RF hotspots, either for dr Stiffler's sec or Jeannacav's Joule thief work, or anything else. In this case I'm fine tuning the sec 15-3. Sure beats spending hundreds or thousands on a spectrum analyser. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gCHGv7iesg

  • Schweet! Now if you had a digital indicator telling you of the frequency you had dialed in... But that would take the "poor man" out of the invention!

Thanks for keepin' it cheap. I'll prob make it later. Thanks!

  • Fairly cheap meters can display frequency up to 20mhz, thanks for the idea! I have one sitting on my bench; duh :)

  • Thanks; it's still touchy to work with, but it does show that exact tuning can be achieved on a considerably small budget.

Next stage is to use the 10mhz xtal colpitts oscillator, and try tickle up a self runner..

    Touch wood :)
