Korean government officials regularly eat bear meat (shabu shabu) and gall bladder. Bears are kept in cruel, cramped filthy conditions while having their bile milked from their gall bladders.

@seka1986 But Americans don't torture their farm animals, except in relatively rare animal cruelty cases where they are also violating health and safety regulations. Even our veal calves, pigs and chickens which are raised in cages are still better of than animals in SE Asia. There, few if any relguations exist. People can sell live skinned animals (ie. frogs and fish in wet markets) and even dogs, cats, horses and apparently bears too. Don't get me wrong, the meat industry is cruel everywhere.

@seka1986 Greasy meat. It has it's own taste. Poor Koreans and SE Asians don't care about the taste though, they are just desparate for meat since all they get is kimchee normally, and they are ready and willing to torture animals in order to get meat.
