The sign on the test room door at Precision Racing Engines, in North vancouver said "Maternity Ward". As the owner comes in, you can see why they have the sign. Here the 427 gets a going over before it is run up to 4500 RPM.

The engines have been rebuilt at Pacific Parts in Vancouver. After the dyno results between the two different intake manifolds the original (shown here) will be replaced with the new Edelbrock on this engine.

  • These engines blew up because the rebuild shop installed keith black racing pistons. You need to keep the compression down to the 9.5 Chris Craft specs. Check out the Chris Craft Commander Forum online for heaps of 427 engine info & more knowledgeable owners.

  • These are detuned marine 427s 300 HP from the factory with the rebuild we are slightly over that at 335 HP
