@mrletspl4ygames I appreciate what youre saying. But One does not need to go to all of those places to learn Liondance. There are plenty of good Liondance groups here in the US. THere are also many styles such as HokSan and Futsan and many of them do not agree. HokSan is VERY much about the money with their competitions etc. Try getting one of those groups to perform for free. The Futsans feel the Hoksans dont have any good stances and dont know many of the traditions. But is #1 popular..

wanna learn real lion dance from the correct source ? come to either singapore , malaysia or hongkong . lion dance is a part of Taoist religion practice , when there are Taoist God's birthday , lion dance , dragon dance , and alot of other dance and stuff comes out . so in a year , you can go out do the correct lion dance , learn from the correct source , and from the correct person . dont just watch videos on youtube n just do it on your own with money . lion adnce isnt just about money

@WinsomeJohnny totally disagree with what you said . sincerity is sincerity . but without skills , they are just lying to their audience . and to their students . comeon , if you dont practice the correct stuff , from the correct person , from the correct source , then the generations to come are going to learn the wrong things , and the real techniques are going into the history with just any body claiming they can lion dance and they just do it .

@ZephyrinSkies The audience on Expert Village are Haters..Jerks that post neg comments because they can on any subject they bother viewing.. I'm talking about the live audience present at an actual Liondance performance. If they enjoy what theyre seeing and it brings happiness then to hell with the Liondance snobs that are judgemental to sincere performers. THe problem with the Chinese kungfu community is they can't even get along with each other let alone non Chinese.

I think it's fine that they true to do lion dancing as well as they can, but I don't think they are qualified to produce and instructional video on it.
