When it suits the US and Britain the moralising tone is adopted eg "we are the worlds leading defenders of human rights, democracy blah blah, we must stand up to dictators blah blah".
It's an ironic fact that whilst the Tory government was sending weapons of mass destruction to Saudi Arabia and Sadam Hussein they were denouncing the miners as the "enemy within" and the embodiment of evil.

The UK actively aids, abets, encourages & supports the anti-democratic Saudi ruling elites who are completely corrupt, illegitimate and criminal -- because as ex-PM Blair said, "it's essential to peace in the Middle East." This shows how hypocritical and lacking the UK is re: moral credibility & integrity, joining most other 'western' govs esp. US. Business is the only thing that counts anymore, result of decades of organized crime, psyops, drug smuggling, war profiteering, misrule, fraud, etc.
