Pre-med students Anthony Hessel '12 and Cathy Youngs '12 are filling the gaps in scientific literature, learning beyond the classroom, and collaborating with Ph.D. candidates to explore their own passions and talents. Hi-Def cameras filming in slo-mo capture something that's only been proven to occur once: salamanders can jump. And salamanders are the stars of a second research project, an experience linked to the multi-billion dollar industry of regeneration. It's just a typical summer here at Allegheny.

  • Would also like to see computer science research. I have heard they are doing some exciting work in simulation, and the sim animation would make an interesting part of the video.
