MKTV (Ch. 73, Ch. 532, & Ch. 261) was established in 1993, with initial business philosophy of providing an encountering platform between Korean-American community and mainstream America. MKTV has now become the largest Korean broadcasting leader in the East Coast, covering New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and even parts of Pennsylvania. Growing larger and more influential each year, in 2006 MKTV celebrated having exclusive the broadcasting right for the German World Cup in Korean language
MKTV not only imports the best of Korean television programs, but also independently creates and promotes more than 16 programs on its own, supports local and national community events, and work together with Time Warner Cable and Cablevision in marketing their international programming. Thanks to our English subtitled Dramas, MKTV has gained tremendous popularity amongst the non-Korean speaking Asian Americans and mainstream Americans as well.
