One of the reasons people double on instruments, especially jazz musician. Is because most jazz band want the lead instrument to be the sax. The flute is still fighting its way up the jazz chart.

greg, you're truly a GREAT musician. I "have" (but also really like) to learn flute AND clarinet for my jazz studies which i begin in October and i'm so happy about that. i would be so glad if i could play in such a gosple group but in germany they almost DON'T exist in christian churches. greetings
