Our last video was blocked...so, we're bringing an old one back.

For those of you who don't understand the Jeremiah Johnson story...Johnson was a trapper in the Rockies. He ended up in a feud with the Crow Indians. One warrior at a time tracks Johnson and tries to collect his scalp.

The irony of the story is that no one has more respect for the Natives than the trappers.

It's a good story...

  • That movie is good, but very Hollywood, They got the name right and some of the story. Trueth be told according to the History channel he was a sorry SOB that actual ate the hearts I think of his victims after he killed them. Scarey SOB Id say so

  • @BluesHonkey couldn't agree more Javier Bardem would be a great choice and LMAO awesome screen name!

  • BEST MOVIE EVER!

  • great movie. but redford is too gentle to play johnson. johnson was a vicious mongrel of a man who scalped all the Crows he killed and wore the hair on his belt. he was famed for his mighty kicks to the groin, and did indeed carve out the livers of his enemies and cook up portions. he also cut off their heads and planted the noggins on saplings.anyway great movie but too romantic. they should remake this with javier bardem.

  • I am sure that someone has already covered this, but....

Jeremiah Johnson was based upon the true story of John Johnston (Liver-eater Johnston). He did have a long standing fued with the Crow Nation.
