This video was shot at an intersection of a side street with a busy road. There are no traffic lights or stop signs. Notice the school children on bicycles. I used to use the word "chaos" when I described the traffic in China. But I have finally realized it is not chaos. Regardless of the mode of travel - foot, bicycle, scooter, motorcycle, car, or bus - that mode just becomes an extension of the person, and everyone moves in complete harmony. After spending six weeks in China, I have only seen one accident, and that was a rear-end fender bender on a major highway.

  • @FissionNonStop you know! china people very patience and polite, people can share each other on traffic road if in Australia, Canada,America every body swear till can make break the windscreen !European very good manner !

  • They have their own rules to avoid traffic. Traffic lights are not necessary.

  • oh my.. how i would have never cross that street.

  • 潮汕地区好明显比珠三角差一大截。

  • Not very bright are they. Too used to having the government think for them. Obviously walk around and drive around in a daze.

  • there's traffic because there're no signs, lol

  • I was there last year and you have power walk to the next street. It was fun riding the rickshaws tho and also it's so fun to bargain with them. My mom had this way of pretending to walk away they are so in need of business

  • 3 weeks ago I was there hehe

It's tricky to go across the street :P

  • so advanced country!

  • lol, chinese can drive so much better than americans, they dont need to be told how to drive, they just adapt to whatever happens, because it is never the case that 100% of people follow traffic laws.

    much safer this is
