Making use of readily available public spaces, the Lagos Photo project aims to establish a community for contemporary photography that will unite, in the city of Lagos, local and international artists, through images that encapsulate individual experiences and identities from across all of Africa. It also aims to use the power of photography to address and make visible important social issues in Africa as well as capture the essence of Lagos state from a holistic and historical perspective. It featured images from renowned international artists as well as images from Nigerias finest and emerging photographers. These artists included: George Osodi, Kadir van Lohuizen, Lard Buurman, Juul Hondius, Hans Wilschut, Viviane Sassen, Andrea Sultiens, Henk Wildschut, Natasha Libbert, Jan-Joseph Stok, Mario Macilau, Angele Essamba, Edgar Cleijne, Anoek Steketee, Aisha Dapchi, Emeke Obanor, Olayinka Stephens, Tam Fiofori, Adolphus Opara, Andrew Esiebo, Akintunde Akinleye, Cristina Baldan, Lara ter Veen, Toye Gbade and Caline Chagoury.

  • Hey is that SIJI @ 2:56? Much love for the course. Peace and blessings.

  • Images speaks more...I drew closer, try to capture with my imagination, the core of the piece of art. I'm lost into the vision captured in my emotion.I feel related to it all, though i never been there.I could feel my whole self rhyming with the images totally lost into the reality depicted in these piece.I look up,then I saw me carried away,my feet lift up above the ground.I realized they are part of me....

  • Great people too.......Heh Bantu,wau up?..
