  • lol

  • is that jetBlue or something?

  • hahhahaha good idea

  • lol rated!

i could never think of such thing,

    well maybe eventually lol

  • this plane was aready descending. We in swiss intl airlines do not allow any electronic device in that time of the flight. no matter if it has a flightmode, or even if its not sending or recieving anything.

imagine that cellphone use would be possible (and allowed by airlines), you guys would be the first to complain when u trying to sleep ,and some guy in the same row is making phonecalls since hours..hell onboard..

Even if some rules dont make any sense: its the airlines that makes them.

  • The FAA regs say that ALL portable electronic devices are prohibited unless the Pilot In Command allows it. The PIC can say when in the flight certain devices can be used. Commercial flights have a base standard set out by the airline. Most airlines say no to all devices during taxi and takeoff and landing as well as anything that might be transmitting.

GPS units don't communicate with the satellites, they are merely receivers and can be compared with laptops, PDAs and other such devices.

  • surely airplanes use some sort of gps to navigate. and it is a receiver not a transmiter, meaning that the signals are there anyway, it just needs something to pick it up.

  • No you cannot:) have you HEARD the rules from the hostesses? ;)
