This is a video to demonstrate the BC Calc topic of volume of revolution using cylindrical shells instead of washers or disks.

In this quick animation, I show the area between a curve and the x-axis, three cross sections of the area, and then demonstrate how the cylindrical shell is made.

This was made entirely in Blender.

  • @Gutsyndicate just random points. it is to show the estimates as a visual before showing what the whole object looks like

  • so you divide the graph into three sections, from a, to b and the midpoint and rotate each?

    or you just picking random points.
