I hate seeing the use of the "Simpson Strong ties". In a windy area, those things are toast in a year or so. Also, why attach a gate to an existing post? Are you sure of the structuaral integrety of the post? Did you set it?
@jg8479 true... one design i've seen that i like is where the post is on the outside of the good side of fence, has a point and extends beyond top, and use of scalloped features
why have you put a fence up behind a hedge?

@irish89055 three rails would be better yes. also most cities have ordinances against putting the better side of the fence facing in.

@jg8479 .... two rails?? some people don't want to give the neighbor the better side of the fence though you lose up to 3 and a half inches of yard..

framing looked like crap. bottom rail set too high and the good side of the fence should always face the outside
