ADHD and me

This poem/video is how I can explain ADHD to other people. Some studies suggest watching too much TV causes ADD. I did nothing but watch TV as a kid. I created this in response to an advertisement on TV for medication for Adult ADHD. My husband asked me if what the commercial said/showed was what I felt. I said no.

I do want to say that I believe ADHD is more of an advantage than a "Disorder". I discovered that I had ADD when I saw a segment with Dr. Hallowell on The Today Show (or some other morning program). Dr. Hallowell had listed the advantages of ADHD. I was in the other room and not even watching TV but heard what sounded like the Press Release I had just wrote for my children's party business. The list included Creativity and Thinking Outside the Box.
