  • Lucky lucky lucky bastaaaaaaaaaaards to be there, I mean holy shit envious doesnt even come close.

  • Saw this tour in Long Beach, CA. 1986

    Incredible...

    Miss you Julie Ann...

  • this should have been a journey song.

  • @eljay345 That's probably true. But with the success of 'Street Talk,' and the lack of new successful Journey material ('Raised on Radio' was the first Journey record that wasn't completely awesome), the only logical thing for them to do was to perform the Steve Perry stuff as part of their tour in 86. Besides, they weren't really even "Journey" that year; they had one original member and they were just doing it for the cash.

  • @tr4207 Well said. I understood your English perfectly. You should write for a major publication.

  • @MaryLMaxwell I saw Frontiers in April 1983 at the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia, SC and as I said on a post here, Raised on Radio in November 1986 at the Hampton Coliseum in Virginia. Both shows sold out.

  • @Fakename70 He is also in Aretha Franklin's video, Jumpin' Jack Flash.

  • @mkl62

Jackson may not have been a "star" then in the sense that you mean, but, he was already well-known as a session player for a decade when Journey came calling.

  • @gowestfanatic007 I agree..... poor guys voice was getting tired after all those years of touring!! Still fab ......

  • I saw the Raised on Radio tour at the Hampton Coliseum in November 1986. Glass Tiger opened. This was a good concert and everyone saw a Before They Were Stars moment: Randy Jackson on bass guitar. Journey was one of a kind. I know that they are still performing, but it just isn't the same without Steve Perry out front.
