Erro de tradução. Ele estava falando de Heraclius, que fracassou em deter a invasão islâmica. A propósito, com quem você anda estudando história? O Império Romano caiu em 1453; em 476 caiu apenas o pedaço em decomposição avançada, e parte desta foi reanexada aos domínios de Constantinopla.
