Cabin Creek Timber Frames Raises Custom Timber Frames Near New Orleans, LA.

Cabin Creeks timber framers traveled to Abita Springs, LA. to raise a custom timber frame December 2009. The area experienced unusual amounts of rain for the local--so much rain--a crane was unable to make in into the site until the second week. The timber frame 'package' and later the SIPS had to be ferried into the job site with an all terrain forklift. Abita Springs is across the length from New Orleans and several feet high. This video is the longer of the two videos documenting the raising of this custom handcrafted timber frame by the timber framers who handcrafted and trial fit it before it being transported to the job iste.
