But just what did you buy? Geoffrey Miller is an evolutionary psychologist and says it was probably something which was a waste of time, energy and money. He argues that too many of our consumer choices are prompted by the desire not to feel good so much as to look good, in an effort to display our superior intelligence, personality and evolutionary fitness to those around us.

Spent is a very funny book. It's the human comedy from a scientific point of view.

@Iambecome He does. He's a little too smooth, a bit like you'd expect from a psychopath. But also like what you'd expect of a genius, which is what he is in my opinion.
