John Piper makes me wish I read the Bible earlier in my life rather than waiting until I was 45 yo before reading it.

@kprochas when your turned down its Gods way of saying your better then this job there is another that will treat you better then this
-
@kprochas i know you wrote this a little while ago; i think its sad how the world and employers are expecting employees to be available 7 days a week and well into the nights, i'm a hairdresser and the pressure i was getting to work late nights and Sundays was awful. i explained to my boss and he just didn't get it, like you i offered myself 6 out of the 7 days and it wasn't good enough. i believe that our time on this earth is short and pleasing God not man is a sure sign of faith. God bless.

IT = Information Technology. An IT professional is anyone who does network management, server administration, programming, technical support, help desk, etc.

OK this may be a dumb question, but what is an IT professional?
-
I will say this as an IT professional, if you tell the interviewer that you will work 6X24 because you are a devout Christian and will not work Sunday most likely you will be rejected for the position because too many people view an IT person within an organisation as one who should be available 7X24, period. No if's, and's, or but's. I have been turned down for jobs that had this objective. I say be true to what the Lord wills and forget the will of the world! The Lord will provide!
From experience, I completely agree. I've even gone so far as to let the interviewer know that my faith in God comes first in my life. Then I let them know how that relates to that job. It means that I'm on time, give 100% and respect authority. It means I work with integrity, honesty and doing what I can to to make my boss' job easier. God's honored this. But you MUST live up to what you tell them. Don't exaggerate. Remember, God is your Source, not any job. Not even money. God alone.
